How the Zebra Got It's Stripes

How the Zebra Got It's Stripes

In the African land there was a herd of horse-like animal called the Zebra. They were PURE white. Among the herd, there was a young mischievous zebra, he was called Lucifer. Lucifer never listens to his elders nor his parents. One day Lucifer was so bored he hid behind a bush near a river and made a campfire out of twigs to burn some leaves he picked from the trees. His parents saw what he was doing and told him to put the fire away as it was dangerous, knowing Lucifer HE NEVER listened. Then karma hit him hard, he tripped into his campfire, burning his skin. He screamed in pain but NO ONE was coming to help. He was hopeless. Zebra then managed to jump back into his legs and ran as fast as he could into the river. The fire was put away by the water revealing his many permanent scar in his body.

Problem Solving

What did you learn about?
I've learnt about solving problems and how I can use "Joint Problem Solving (JPS)" if I have a disagreement with friend. I've also learnt how to use D.E.S.C when I have a problem with myself.

When discussing "Thought Challenger" what did you notice about yourself?
I noticed that when I think I sometimes think negatively but the "Thought Challenger" helped me get over my negative thoughts.

What solutions can you try when you face a challenge during the Business & Enterprise kete? Give an example

I can use "Thought Challenger" when I face a problem during the Business & Enterprise Kete to help me get over my problem by thinking it through.

What am I learning?

I am learning how make an advertisement with a catchy jingle.

How does this work shows my learning?

3. Transferring the Plan

I first drew my plan on a piece of paper then later drew it on my timber.

4. How did you make it?

  1. I drew the plan onto my timber.
  2. Mark the pieces that needs to be cut.
  3. Cut the marked pieces using a band saw.
  4. Chisel the holes with a 12 mm chisel until every piece can fit inside.
  5. Sand all the pieces using a sand paper.
  6. Coat the puzzle with polyurethane

5. Photos

Was there anything you felt difficult to understand and why?
It was difficult to understand mindfulness because I didn't really know what it was before and how I can be mindful to everyone. I overcame this by actively listening to my teacher.

When talking to a classmate, how did you know what they were feeling?
When I'm talking to my classmate, I noticed that he was interested. I could tell he felt this way because he listened attentively.

3D Printing

What am I learning?

Recently, my class had been learning on how to make a design to 3D print. We had been using Tinkercad to create our design. We also had been using Thingiverse, a website that allows us to use other people's design. We also use Online File Converter to convert images to 3D print.

Here is what I made:

  • Power supply
  • Convex and Concave lens

Method:

1. Collect the equipment needed.
2. Set up the ray box, triple-slit ray slide and power supply.
3. Place the concave and convex lens on the shaded space on the scipad.
