Explanation of Potato peelers
Do you know how potato peelers work? Here is some information about it.

The potato peeler was invented in Switzerland by Alfred Neweczerzal in 1947.

Potato peelers have four different types including industrial, Y shaped, straight, and swivel. Straight peelers have their blade on the same direction as its handle. They are designed to pivot (turn). Straight peelers peel the skin while it’s moving around the potato. Swivel peelers blades have two edge making them move in either directions. Y shaped peelers work by peeling the potato in strips. Industrial peelers peel potatoes using steam jets to loosen the skin. The most common potato peeler is the Y shaped peeler because it’s easy, safe, and fast to use.

The potato peeler peels potatoes using its blade. There are two blades on a potato peeler, the blade at the top prevents the blade at the bottom from cutting far into the skin. This simple machine makes our lives easier because it makes it safer to peel potatoes than using a knife that can harm you while peeling.
